The summer in Sardinia tends to start early and visitors have been known to sunbathe well into October and even November. Bosa is warmer and somewhat drier than inland Sardinia and it does tend to rain during the winter months, December through February, though rarely does it snow. When and if it rains it tends to be short but heavy rainfalls. Come prepared and you will have an amazing time.

As the old houses are mostly built in solid stone, and stay cool in the summer, it is essential to have heating during the winter.

The summer can get very hot, but La Mistrale the prevailing northwest wind, cools the air during the hottest months.

Like mentioned before not everything stays open all year, as some places close for maintenance in low season. But don't let this stop you from travelling there during the winter months as there is still plenty of choices as where to eat or what to see. Sardinia is lovely to visit all year around as the weather is mild and mostly sunny.
